Apple & Banana Yogurt Breakfast Bowl

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup of plain, dairy-free yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon almond butter, or nut butter of choice

  • 1/2 apple, chopped (bite-size pieces)

  • 1/2 banana, chopped

  • 1-2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa nibs

  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

  • 1 teaspoon hemp hearts

  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

  • drizzle of honey (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Use a deep bowl that is good for mixing. Scoop the yogurt in first.

  2. Add in the nut butter and mix into the yogurt using a whisk or a fork until uniform.

  3. Add the apple, banana, walnuts, cocoa nibs, pumpkin seeds, hemp hearts and chia seeds.

  4. Drizzle honey on top (optional). Serve.

NUU GLO TIP - This recipe is great for substitutions. Instead of the apple and banana, try fresh berries for a low sugar option. The walnuts can be replaced with crushed almonds, sunflower seeds or pecans. Buckwheat and amaranth are crunchy gluten-free grain options. Shredded coconut, dried currants, brazil nuts and beech nuts are also tasty. Get creative!
